The speeds are going up at Toyota Motorsport GmbH (TMG)! After the Yaris-entry rally comes the motorsport division now with a racing version of their brand new GT86, a relatively well priced racer. To turn the knob down to business it will take 38,500 euros for a CS-V3 to be yours. That’s a lot more accessible than the half million you need for a 911 GT3 RSR. The car has been developed specifically for participation in the V3 class of the VLN series (including the Nürburgring), so if you have ambitions to pollute some german air, you will know what to do. The car is still RWD and has 200 hp / 205 Nm with a manual six-speed gearbox, only the interior got some changes, the weight adjusted, and the GT86 racing exhaust, suspension, and – brakes were tweaked. This car drives on CS-V3 race rubber, and obviously has an FIA approved roll cage. So much fuss, but certainly good for a big grin on a winding track. Unfortunately, there were no announcements about the weight. |
