During the 24 hours of Le Mans the Nissan Juke NISMO was already officially unveiled. Back then there were no statements about the ability and we gambled on ‘just’ 190 horsepower, but it appears to be a whopping 200 horses.
In June, Nissan was still very cryptic about “a tuned version of the direct-injection 1.6-liter gasoline engine with injection and turbo”. Now we know that the 1.6 Turbo supplies 200 hp and 250 Nm. And that’s “just a bit more” than a standard Juke 1.6.
Normally we would shrug our shoulders and continue walking when we see a special performance of a Nissan Micra, but in this case there are a few nice models drummed up for the photo shoot, and we make an exception.
A piece of target marketing is unavoidable if you have a car like a Micra, because I can not remember ever a man (or a young woman) in a Micra. The car is then also touted as the perfect car for the woman who loves the city life.
There will be a Nissan GT-R successor, we just to need wait until 2018. The original idea was to prepare a successor in 2015 but since GT-R chief Kazutoshi Mizuno struggled with health problems it will take a few more years before a completely new Nissan GT-R will roll from the factory.
