Last Friday McLaren shocked the world with a special one-off called X-1 that was going to be revealed. Now there are also pictures of the X-1 in open air, obviously shot in Pebble Beach. The basis for this bizarre car was a McLaren MP4-12C, but there is little more to be seen. It became a completely different car.

This is a track-only concept of McLaren. More downforce, more horsepower and intended for the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

McLaren is proud to announce that for the coming model year, some changes are made to the MP4-12C. The performance of the MP4-12C is not wort mentioning, though of course this makes a difference on the track. This gives the MP4-12C in 2013 at 25 hp, a total of 625 hp.

The new racing season is about to get started and so McLaren kindly senses some video and photos of the final implementation of the MP4-12C GT3 into the world.
