For some time there were rumors of a small Opel and Vauxhall and therefore the first official information brought out today. The name Adam is obviously a tribute to founder Adam Opel Opel itself. The ADAM will only be available with gasoline engines. A 70-horsepower 1.2-liter and a 87 or 100 hp 1.4-liter. All engines are available with a start / stop system and a manual gearbox with five gears. Later, a new generation of gasoline engines will also be available. These engines will be equipped with a turbocharger for more efficient work and also to deliver more power. This new generation of engines will also be equipped with a manual six-speed gearbox. ADAM is 3.70 meters long and 1.72 wide (without mirrors). Due to its small appearance, the small three-door Opel is suitable as a small city car. The front of the ADAM is pretty tough-styled and on the side we see the well-known design lines. For the roof of the ADAM, the designers looked carefully at Citroën. Like the DS3, the ADAM gets a “floating” roof. By clever use of glass and dark styles it looks like the roof is separate from the body. |
