Last Friday McLaren shocked the world with a special one-off called X-1 that was going to be revealed. Now there are also pictures of the X-1 in open air, obviously shot in Pebble Beach. The basis for this bizarre car was a McLaren MP4-12C, but there is little more to be seen. It became a completely different car.

The design of the car is not really a soft-looker, but on the live pictures, the lines and shapes does it better justice than the clinical studio photos. I guess it’s just something you need to get used to.
