Two years ago ABT tuned the A8 already, and called it AS8, but that was an A8 diesel. Now, with the emergence of the S8, the real work has begun, and the Germans started on the 4.0 TFSI V8. By default, the new Audi S8 (D4) has 520 hp and 650 Nm. After treatment by ABT is has 620 hp and 780 Nm, holy smokes! With this enormous power reserve the nearly 2-ton limousine will go in fourth gear from 60-100 km / h in 2.8 seconds. The intermediate sprint from 80-120 (fifth gear) comes in 3.5 seconds. Top speed is adjusted by the tuner at 290 km / h. Optionally ABT will tweak the well-known turbine rims aswell, ranging in sizes 19-21 inches, but this is not a must. Next year we expect the RS versions of the Audi A6 and A7, it is expected to get 580 hp. |
